Christmas is a joyful time and there are some who want to immerse themselves in the Christmas spirit. Here is some bedroom decorating ideas for those people. Christmas decorations can be tasteful and well inspire the feelings all through the holiday season.
Christmas Day 2010 may be a special day, the house was decorated with lots of various components of Christmas. This is an idea, decorating a bedroom. Transform your bedroom with some simple felt throw pillows and snowflake cutouts. Hot-glue snowflakes to a simple white matelasse, or use a slip stitch to gently attach them to your bedspread for the holiday season. A weathered piece of blue baseboard, dressed with a velour chenille wreath, crowns the bed. Wreaths at each window and a display of ivory bottlebrush trees also herald the season.
Starting with your bedspread, remember that green and red colors are associated with Christmas. Any design with those colors such as a plaid or stripes can be the focal point of the room. If you have a solid Christmas colored comforter then buy a throw blanket with a Christmas scene to accent the bed. Christmas themed shams are another subtle way to add the holidays to your bedroom. Pillows always a good accent for your bed. For this economy an inexpensive way place to buy bedding is to shop at Target, Kohl’s, and JCPenney’s. You can also shop online on Amazon.com.
Window treatments are another good idea for decorating for Christmas. Garland draped over curtain rods adds a festive look to a room. Add Christmas ornaments or small Christmas Led lights hanging from the garland. The led lights don’t emit heat so is safer then the old bulb lights. Big Lots, Hobby Lobby, and Michael’s are great stores to buy Christmas decorations that are inexpensive.
If your dressers are like mine they are cluttered with knickknacks so clear then off and put scented candles on a Christmas themed runner hanging down the sides of the dresser. Every time you’re getting clothes out of the dresser the candles scent of pine, cinnamon will send you off into the Christmas spirit. Scented candles can be bought at any grocery store, or specialty shop at the mall.
Another suggestion would be to buy a small 3-foot fake Christmas tree. Place it on a small table or nightstand to brighten your bedroom with Christmas lights. You can buy small ornaments and most trees come equipped with lights within the branches. For bargain hunting you can shop online for used trees, or any grocery store, discount store will be selling them during the holidays.
A wreath can be hung over your bed as a focal point of the room. It can be a made of real evergreen pine branches, made of artificial pine garland so it can be put away for next year, or it can be a dazzling wreath of glittering tinsel. Wreaths are usually sold at grocery stores during the holidays or where you buy Christmas trees. Artificial pine garlands can be bought at hobby stores.
This season will be captured within your bedroom with just a little Christmas decorations that can be enjoyed throughout the holidays.
